MLI DELIVERS…

Since our inception, MLI has operated as a conglomerate of satellite home offices; we do not have a corporate or central facility. By promoting work at home, MLI does more than its share to save energy. A tremendous amount of it is required to produce transportation equipment such as cars, trains, etc. MLI incrementally helps diminish use of such equipment and energy because all our principals work from home. Fuel resources needed to operate cars are zero. An increase in the percentage of people working from home also decreases the need for expanded highways and associated road maintenance. Once a person arrives at work in a central office location, s/he represents another energy consumer, often magnified many times over what would be required at home. The office building has heating, cooling and lighting needs. Working from home requires only modest incremental demand for energy. MLI also preserves our environment by reducing land use requirements for highway expansion, slow-moving car emissions, etc.

By reducing highway use, MLI also promotes safety. There are thousands of traffic-related deaths and injuries every year. MLI also improves health by reducing stress related to compromises made between Family and Work. The stress associated with commuting back and forth to work away from the home is real, and working at home offers a renewed opportunity for workers to share quality time with family members and promote family values. Also, time saved through telecommuting can be spent with family members constructively in ways that promote stronger ties. For persons with health problems or handicapped persons, working from home may offer some comforting and productive opportunities, as well.

MLI is also socially responsible in that it encourages supplier diversity, inclusion and fair labor practices. We see diversity as a core value of MLI. We, not only believe in fairness, but also see it as essential to our ability to deliver high performance to clients. A diverse workforce gives clients access to a rich range of talent, representing different cultures, perspectives and experiences. This diversity is a critical strength that we work hard to protect and foster. It makes us a better company on every dimension. At MLI, we take the widest possible view of inclusion and diversity, going beyond gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity and expression to create a work environment that welcomes all forms of differences. Each employee is a respected member of our team; we recognize and value individual similarities and differences. Our workforce is a reflection of the clients we serve, the suppliers we do business with and the communities in which we operate. Inclusion and diversity are fundamental to our culture and core values, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment that helps our people to be successful and enables MLI to effectively compete in the marketplace.

In the same vein, MLI seeks best practices in all matters of ethics and governance and we believe in, and promote, compliance, risk mitigation, supplier standards of business conduct, etc. MLI has responsibility 1. to our clients and we promote integrity, hard work, growth, quality; 2. to our employees and we promote professional development, teamwork and communications, respect for the individual and the community; 3. to our Company, and we preserve, promote our heritage and reputation; 4. to other businesses, and we expect our principals to compete aggressively but fairly, in each of the markets we operate, and sell the Company’s products and services on their quality and merit. Ethical considerations are extremely important in selecting, and in MLI’s relationship with, suppliers, contractors and consultants. All MLI principals are obligated to treat all vendors fairly, honestly and courageously, and without prejudice.
