Frederic Marsanne,
President and CEO.
Frederic is the founder of Marsanne Link. He was previously Vice President of Business Development at Marketing Decisions, Inc., in Waltham, MA, a consulting firm specializing in tactical marketing. He has managed consulting assignments on behalf of major corporations, including Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, SAP and AT&T. He has also worked in advertising, real estate brokerage (specializing in large estate sales in France), had brief stunts at international organizations (Peacekeeping Department of the United Nations at its New York headquarters and in Washington, DC), traveled the world as a flight attendant with Air France. He is interested in various artistic ventures; he owns an art gallery and is evaluating funding enterprises in the theater and movie business. Frederic is a long-term investor in various enterprises, an entrepreneur and dealmaker, involved in a wide range of industries from biotech (genomics, RNAi, biosimilars, etc.) to high-tech (cloud, virtual, mobile, etc.) and other verticals. Always looking for new enterprises to invest in or projects to incubate, seed or help finance. Specialties include building new ventures (Internet, others), corporate mediation and conflict resolution, lead generation and the creation of innovative distribution models, brokering deals, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions. When time allows and his sweet tooth dictates, he turns into a pastry chef (after graduating from the Ritz-Escoffier School in Paris, France). Frederic is a graduate of the School of Management at Yale University and of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Doug Burns,
Vice President.
Doug is primarily involved with operations, project management and account management. He excels at uncovering major opportunities on behalf of some of our lead customers and serves as the key interface to several of our top customers. He joined MLI in 2008 after 25 years at Hewlett-Packard, where he assumed increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing, and business development. His focus was with HP’s enterprise computing businesses, including management software, servers/storage and services. Doug’s broad business background with one of the largest companies in the world and a technology leader constitutes a unique asset to our Company. He is an avid motorcyclist. Doug Van Vliet,
Vice President.
Doug is primarily involved with operations and oversees the quality control/quality assurance function. He has an extensive background in telecommunications and information technology. He began his career with SaskTel where he served in a variety of project management, product development and product planning positions. He was a founding member and Director of SaskTel International, a subsidiary of SaskTel chartered to create and develop business for SaskTel internationally. Doug also founded and served as Vice President of Unisource Systems, a technology consulting and services firm with offices in Chicago and Washington, DC. In 1996 Doug joined Hewlett-Packard and over the course of ten years served in several business development and marketing capacities, primarily focused on the service provider industry. Eduardo Rosales,
Vice President.
Eduardo has an extensive background in politics, planning and negotiation. He was chairman of the Jalisco State Planning Agency in Mexico, where he coordinated planning processes within the State Government and developed inter-sector programs. He was Sub-secretary of government in charge of political and social negotiations for the State Government. As a politician, Eduardo was State Congressman in Jalisco and City Councilman in Guadalajara, the second largest city in Mexico; State President of PAN, the governing party in Jalisco; and member of the National Committee of his party. He has taught planning courses for both master and bachelor level and has contributed to the development of participatory planning tools since 2005. For 10 years he ran a political column in two local newspapers in Guadalajara, Mexico, and he has coauthored two books on electoral and political analysis. Before moving to the USA, he was in charge of special projects at Reciclajes Jalisco, a Municipal Waste Landfill and Recycling Plant in Ocotlán, Mexico. He has a BE in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and a Master in Politics and Public Management from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He also has a Master in Public Policy from Princeton University and he is a Master in Public Administration candidate from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Eduardo will likely be based in Mexico City or Guadalajara, Mexico, where he is expected to become general manager for our Latin American operations.
Olivier Tiabas,
Vice President.
Olivier acts as general manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. An avid entrepreneur, he founded THDO services in 1997, a firm primarily involved in residential and commercial real estate development in the Ivory Coast. He managed projects and developed two buildings on behalf of the caisse de stabilisation du café cacao in Abidjan. He was also for a number of years a supplier of various renovation and construction services to the Port Autonome d’Abidjan and other public sector institutions (gendarmerie du PAA, etc.). Olivier created in 2002 “les Créations Tiabas,” whose charter has been to export African garments to, and target niche clienteles in, various markets including the United States. He also created ”Club le bamboo,” a small entertainment facility in 2009 and ”Phénix Service” in 1995, a company lubricating the interface amongst, and providing multi-faceted services to, auto insurance companies, auto experts, the police and the insured. Olivier started his career at Cost’immo SARL where he was a real estate agent in Paris, France from 1989 to 1995 and as a commercial rep for SOFRADIF and CGIP (real estate-based financial solutions). Olivier is expected to shuttle back and forth between Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Paris, France.
